Construction litigation is not simple contract law. Rather, it is a complex practice area typically involving multiple party litigation that is controlled by both contract principles and governing statutes such as the New York Lien Law. This course offers a primer on construction litigation including the controlling principles, pre-commencement considerations, and the identification of proper parties. The panel will also present on frequently litigated construction issues such as progress payments and delay claims. The panel consists of Tony Adams and John Dreste, two of Rochester’s most experienced construction litigators.
