The asbestos litigation has been a part of the Western New York legal landscape for more than three decades and it continues today, although many practitioners are unfamiliar with this sophisticated area of the law. People who worked around asbestos and those who experienced asbestos exposure secondhand can develop mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and other life-threatening asbestos-related diseases. This program will give attorneys who are unfamiliar with mesothelioma cases an overview of how they are handled on the plaintiff's and defendant's sides, as well as the court's perspective.
