This program focuses on the procedural and strategic aspects of practice in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the New York State Appellate Division.  The different rules and considerations for appeals in federal and state courts pose challenges even for experienced attorneys.  Led by appellate practice expert Robert Brucato, the panel will discuss assessing cases for appeal, initiating and filing appeals, navigating the many required forms, important timing and deadline considerations, requirements for briefs, records, and other appellate submissions, motion practice, oral argument, and costs.
