Summary Jury Trials are an innovative approach to alleviating civil court congestion. These proceedings include many aspects of regular trials including jury selection, witness examination (direct and cross) and opening and closing arguments. In Summary Jury Trials, the processes of voir dire, testimony (lay or expert) and jury deliberations are shortened. Your clients may prefer this effective alternative to a traditional trial which may also save them time, expense, and lessen some of the uncertainties inherent in a regular trial. This program will describe the process using the judicial, plaintiff and defense perspectives.
