Navigating special education and related services can be difficult for parents and advocates. This session will provide a basic overview of the legal rights and responsibilities of students and educators, eligibility requirements for available services, and advocacy strategies to ensure children receive the supports necessary to achieve academic success. Through this CLE, attendees will learn:

*How to put the "I" in I.E.P. (Individual Education Plan);

*The eligibility rules for available intervention;

*Advocacy strategies to address depression, anxiety, ADHD and learning disabilities.

Presenters include an attorney who represents parents, a school district attorney and an education specialist.
