On January 21, 2011, New York’s law exempting assets from execution and bankruptcy seizure will change dramatically. This breaking-news seminar will review the new exemptions available to judgments debtors in New York and the changes in exemptions available to local bankruptcy debtors. And, as New York bankruptcy debtors will have the options of claiming federal exemptions for the first time since 1982, the seminar will review the structure of the exemptions found in Bankruptcy Code Section 522(d).  This seminar is intended for all attorneys and paralegals working in collections and bankruptcies.
